FAQ: Questions about Safety

Q. Does the plaster gauze get hot?

A. No.

Q. Is it safe for the mother and the baby?

A. Yes. I have thoroughly researched the ingredients in the plaster gauze and how it is manufactured. I have talked to the manufacturer's chemist on several occasions; periodically checking again to be sure that nothing has changed. The ingredients are completely non-toxic. The only danger involved in the process is if you do not follow my recommendation of using a comfortable seated position. The possibility of fainting is very high in a standing position or using a kneeling chair. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of casting pregnant women comfortably seated, always!!
